The previous Collective Agreement between CUPE Local 3911 and Athabasca University (AU) which was effective from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2024 has expired. We continue to operate under this agreement until a new agreement is reached.
Collective Bargaining between AU and CUPE Local 3911 is in progress. The process started in the summer of 2024, and will continue until a new collective agreement is agreed upon. There have been 2 face-to-face bargaining sessions (December 11-12, 2024 and February 4-5, 2025) at which time proposed changes that are considered non-financial were exchanged and reviewed. Many of these have been agreed to. The next scheduled session is April 22-23, 2025.
