The Canadian Union of Public Employees is Canada’s largest unions and represents workers in health care, emergency services, education, early learning and child care, municipalities, social services, libraries, utilities, transportation and more. Members of CUPE Local 3911 are tutors, markers, academic experts, and lab instructors employed by Athabasca University, Canada’s leading distance education university.
The Executive team of CUPE Local 3911 works with CUPE Alberta, Alberta Federation of Labour, Edmonton & District Labour Council, and Calgary and District Labour Council to protect the rights of people who provide public services. Local 3911 Executives meet on a monthly basis and host an Annual General Meeting and Tutor Conference each fall that is open to all local members.
